Steinway Art-Class B Model

At Pianohaass, we showcase new and vintage Steinway pianos, including rare and exquisite one-of-a kind instruments. For months we have had on display a highly decorated piano, a Steinway Art-Case (B model). The instrument features elaborate carvings and was luxuriantly painted in Art Nouveau style. The instrument was hand-made at the Steinway factory in Hamburg in 1899. In the late 19th century, the Art-Case piano was a must have for well appointed salons and music rooms. The vintage Steinway is in an impeccable condition and is an aural and visual delight.

Pianohaass has now installed this treasured instrument in its new home in Singapore. Then, as now this exquisite piano serves not only as a testament to the owners’ fondness of fine music and appreciation of Old World craftsmanship, but to their social position as well.
